Today’s big news: Disney Acquiring Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion. Today’s emerging meme: people thinking up imaginative combinations of characters across both animated empires.

Although mostly for humor at the moment, as resident gaming guru Ben Parr pointed out to me, Kingdom Hearts combines Disney and Final Fantasy characters, so it’s not too much of a stretch to imagine some clever collaborations between Disney and Marvel once the deal is completed.
